Every age has a set of beliefs that are accepted and every age evolves in these beliefs. If you want to join the timeless challenge to live a full and
meaningful life, it makes no different what age you were born in. Thousands of years ago the world was flat. This was an accepted fact until people
starting challenging it and eventually it was discovered to be false. A couple hundred years ago it was written and proclaimed that “all me are created
equal”
during a time when slavery was still practiced and women did not have the right to vote. A little over a hundred years ago it was believed that man could
not fly then the first airplane was invented. Every age believes it is more highly evolved than those that had come before it, but if this is true then it
is also true that the age that follows the time in which you live in, right now, will see how clearly wrong your age was in its thinking about certain
things. It‘s your challenge to distinguish between what is false and what is true about the age in which you live. It is your challenge to see the lies
whether deliberate or unintended that keep you from being truly human and alive. It is your challenge to be open and accept the possiblilty that things may
not be as they appear. To transcend the time in which you live in and all it’s trappings, to see
the simplicity of life is the ultimate challenge of any age, past, present or future. As obvious as it is that the world in which we live in, a world
largely of our own making, is not one of this timeless challenge, most people can not see it which makes those who can almost infinitely outnumbered. The
hope that these few can hold on to is in remembering that the world was once believed by all to be flat and how irrefutably accepted it is, now, that it
is round.
I am an animal who belongs to and whose life is sustained by the earth and the further my everyday existence moves from this truth the less human and more
machine like I become...the less peaceful and happy I become. The strength of the falsities that are all around us is that they have always surrounded us
during the short time we have been alive so much that we have forgotten what it is like to live a natural human life because our age with all it’s power
has forgotten. The challenge of my life is to find my way back and show all those around me who I love and care about this way.
